Benhaven Academy (Public Schools) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Assistant to support students with diverse learning needs. The Instructional Assistant will work closely with teachers and school staff to provide academic and behavioral support to students who may require additional assistance in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students and a desire to help them succeed in their educational goals.

This is a Full-time, Monday-Friday, 35 hour/week year-round position.

Responsibilities:

• - Provide academic support to students in individual or small group settings
• - Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation
• - Implement behavior management strategies in accordance with the school's policies and procedures
• - Communicate regularly with teachers and parents about student progress
• - Help students with organizational skills and study habits
• - Support students with special needs in a classroom setting
• - Assist with classroom management to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
• - Provide supervision and support during lunch, recess, and other school activities
• - Attend training sessions and professional development activities as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (required)
• Previous experience working with students in an educational setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques
• Ability to work with students with diverse learning needs
• Willingness to learn and implement new strategies and techniques
• Positive attitude and a passion for working with children
• Willingness to undergo a background check and comply with school policies and procedures
