DSP In-Home Supports PT Opportunites, Benhaven IFS
Benhaven is looking for Direct Support Professionals to work for our Individual & Family Supports assisting individuals with autism in their homes and the community. We are seeking enthusiatic and energetic applicants to provide support to our individuals.
Available positions listed below:
Guilford Part-time: (14 hrs) Tuesday & Thursday 3p-7p & Sunday 12p-6p
New Haven Part-Time (6 hours): Tuesday & Thursday 4p-7p
Bridgeport Part-time: (8 hrs) Monday & Wednesday 3:30p-7:30p
Hamden/North Haven Part-Time: (19 hours) Mon & Tues 3p-9:30p & Sunday 9a-3p
Hamden/North Haven Part-Time: (15.5 hours) Thursday 3p-8p & Saturday 8a-6:30p
Hamden Full-time: (34.5 hours) Monday & Tuesday 3p-9:30p, Thursday 3p-8p, Saturday 8am-6:30p, Sunday 9a-3p
Responsibilities:
The following duties are assigned to this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and possibly their families:
- Encourage building skills for independence
- Encourage and assist in increasing socialization
- Encourage and assist individuals with the pursuit of vocational opportunities
- Assist and provide opportunities for individuals to participate in recreational activities
Experience & Requirements:
- Must have experience working with individuals with autism.
- Must be able to pass a variety of background checks.
- Must have a CT driver's license.
- Applicant must have a registered and insured vehicle that can pass a safety inspection.
- Will train in PMT (physical management training) and CPR, if not already certified.
